Psychological Therapy with Through the Trees

IMG_9711.JPG

Psychological therapy is an evidence-based talking therapy that can help you to manage difficult emotional experiences and situations. It involves helping you to understand your feelings in the context of past and current experiences. You can also learn coping strategies to help you manage long term. This is done in a confidential and non-judgemental setting to help you talk and process your experiences safely and openly.

🌿Psychological therapy approaches delivered with Through The Trees include:

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT)

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

🌿At Through The Trees Psychology, I offer a specialist approach to therapy that draws on the restorative power of nature. My work is grounded in evidence-based psychological practice, while also recognising the unique benefits of natural, calming environments in supporting emotional wellbeing.

🌿Therapy takes place at The Wellbeing Centre in Elland — a setting chosen for its strong connection to nature. Here, clients can access traditional indoor sessions as well as outdoor therapy, where the natural surroundings become part of the therapeutic process. For some, being outside can support a deeper sense of calm, connection, and perspective.

🌿This nature-informed approach allows us to tailor therapy to each person’s preferences and needs, offering flexibility, choice, and a grounding environment in which meaningful change can happen.

I specialise in conditions including (but not limited to):

Anxiety

Depression

Grief and Bereavement
